Shower #2

A bunch of people from work threw us a baby shower as well, and decked out the board room for the occasion.

Everyone was so sweet and supportive and we had a nice spread of lunch and dessert.

And we got presents!  Big presents,

small presents,

and funny presents (this book had a page where you made the dog lift his leg up and pee).

We're so lucky to have great friends and coworkers!

Final Europe 2013 Layouts

This month, I finished the final three layouts of our wonderful 2013 trip to Europe.  This first layout captures our time in Germany's Mosel Valley, and I used Blue Fern Studio's February sketch and Ironwork Arch chipboard.

This second layout features pictures from our time in Cologne.  My Creative Sketches' February sketch inspired the design.

The third and final layout is based on the February sketch from Boys Rule, which I rotated.

Last but not least, I finished up my BG Cappella stash by making a card inspired by Paper Issues' card sketch.

Nathan's Nursery

We put together Nathan's nursery and wanted to show you what it looks like!  Jesse painted the room green & neutral and added a chair rail, and I decorated the room with Nature's Purest adorable Sleepy Safari line!

ACOT February Guest Designer

I was selected to be February's guest designer for A Cherry on Top!  I got to play with Authentique's Durable line, which was just what I needed for a bunch of more masculine layouts that I had yet to complete:

I have some guest designer challenges up that you can check out on their website!

Europe Layouts and a Card

I have many more pages to complete from our 2013 trip to Europe.  I finished a couple this month, including this layout of our day in Cochem and exploring its castle grounds.  I used the January Boys Rule sketch for this layout.

The second layout I completed captures our day trip to Amsterdam.  I used C'est Magnifique's January sketch for this layout.

Finally, I made a card using the inspirational word "smile" for SWAT's challenge.  I have so much to be thankful for and should remember to smile more!

Shower #1

Becky threw me a shower last weekend, and a lot of lovely ladies from my church attended.

We had a lot of fun and Nathan received such cute things.  Thank you everyone!

Hanging Out with Dave & Tiffany!

Our dear friends Dave and Tiffany are in town for the holidays and we were able to see them today and hang out!  We miss them!

Here is the double-baby bump picture (we are only a couple weeks apart)!

We have not seen them since our trip to Europe over a year ago.  Speaking of which, here are a couple layouts that I just completed from our trip.  I used Blue Fern Studio's January sketch and brick chipboard on this first layout.

The second layout I created is of our trip to the Nurburgring.  I used Paper Issues' Sketch 004 and faux stitching.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  We were out of town for most of the holidays.  Jesse's mom picked us up at the Indianapolis airport and we drove to Cincinnati to spend a little time with extended family, which was lots of fun.  On the way back to Indiana, we rode with Matt & Merida in their coupe.  Merida drove, and I (really Nathan) got special shotgun treatment, leaving both 6'2"+ boys to squeeze into the back!  (Matt looks a lot happier about this than Jesse does).

Back in Indiana, we spent a few days with Jesse's dad's side of the family.

Then we traveled to Connecticut on Christmas Eve to see my family for Christmas, where we opened a lot of presents,

decorated and ate cookies (the cookie we are eating here is one that Jesse made that said "J + K" -- awwww),

hiked in the woods behind my mom's house (and got ticks!),

put together a 1000 piece puzzle in one night (really difficult but I wouldn't let us go to bed until it was done!),

walked around Mystic Village,

and went to the casino where Chloe bested me at the arcade!

We hung out with some of Jesse's work friends for New Years, then came home and watched the ball drop via live streaming from New York (at 10pm our time) and then promptly went to bed (yes, that is how we roll)!

Vintage Christmas

Merry almost-Christmas everyone!  Since I am in the Christmas spirit, I decided to finish up my scrapbooking of last year's Christmas pictures.  This page is based on C'est Magnifique December sketch.

And this layout is inspired by My Mind's Eye's December sketch.  I used MME's Vintage Christmas for both layouts.

Here is the two-page spread:

Scrapbooking with Cappella

This month, I started scrapping last year's trip to Europe, and Basic Grey's Cappella collection is elegant and the perfect line to use!  My first layout is based on My Creative Sketch's November sketch, and showcases pictures from our first day with the Hamburgers in Belgium.

This second page is from our second day, exploring Antwerp.  I was inspired by Scrap Around the Word's mood board, particularly the elegance and combination of light blue, brown, and white.  I also used the Stuck?! sketch for this layout.

And here is a picture of the two layouts together.

The last page I have to show you is from the very end of our trip to Europe: when we saw the Germany v. Ireland World Cup Qualifying game.  I used Blue Fern's December sketch and chipboard layering stems.
