Jesse and I celebrated our eighth anniversary over memorial day weekend. We took a road trip to Phoenix and picked Jesse up a car (VW Golf TDI)! Because it is a manual, Jesse had the honors of driving the whole way home! (I am in need of some serious driving lessons).
We had a nice dinner at this eclectic Japanese tapas place downtown, where we had bites of pork belly, duck, tofu, and squid.
We also got a tour of Taliesin West -- Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home, which is now a school of architecture and museum.
Love the car, and that sounds like a fabulous way to spend your anniversary! The FLW building looks cool and the cacti look adorable! You should have broke some cacti seeds back to plant at your place!
ReplyDeleteHappy 8th anniversary and good choice on VW TDI

ReplyDeleteWell it looks like the "new color" of cars is now white!! 3 in the family in half a year - awesome!! Love the pics, so glad you had a great trip.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the adoption of a Golf TDI! It's a highly-coveted vehicle here.
ReplyDeleteManuals are great fun and what better for you to learn in than a Golf TDI!
