Doodlebug Halloween Layouts

I have a lot of Halloween layouts to share with you this month -- three years worth -- made with adorable Doodlebug Halloween lines.  I created this first layout for Lasting Memories challenge 466.  I used polka dots, a tag, and stickers.

This 2016 Halloween layout is for Lasting Memories challenge 468.  I used the following items for the challenge: costume (layout theme), red (lobster), ink (black), stickers (monster), and purple.

The trick or treat 2017 layout was inspired by Cookin up Creations marquee challenge. The red and yellow on the marquee look orange together and the pumpkins on the paper look like marquee lights.

My next layout is for CSI case file 298.  I created a page that is Halloween themed, used string and dangling spiders, white cardstock background, chipboard, and the colors orange, black, and white.

This layout from last year's Halloween is inspired by Scrap your Stash's October cartoon inspired sketch challenge.  I also used Cards (journaling), Alphabet stickers, Stars, Patterned Paper, Embellishments, and Rats (stickers).

Finally, this last layout is for Cookin up Creations' animal challenge. I used fox and cat embellishments.

Best of ABQ

Last weekend we celebrated Jesse's birthday with a nice dinner at Tamaya's Corn Maiden.  The food was divine, and the scenery spectacular.  We took a little walk around the property before dinner (ok, I walked, and Nathan and Jesse ran around the trails), and enjoyed a lovely evening!

This weekend, we went to the Special Shapes Rodeo at the Balloon Fiesta.  We got up super early and braved the bitter cold, but the balloons were great and we had a lot of fun!

Goal!

Nathan started off his fall soccer season (his 4th season) off with a bang — by scoring his first ever goal! He actually scored two in the first game, and another one this weekend. Look at him go!

Loads of Fun

We had some fun little adventures this month.  First up: family day.  Sandia National Laboratories opened its doors to family member so Nathan finally got to see Jesse's office, super computers, the Z machine, and made a rocket!

We also had fun at home.  Nathan is a little monkey on our neighborhood playground.

This year Nathan's school took a field trip to the New Mexico state fair.  Nathan had tons of fun and was so cute with the animals in the petting zoo!

And our little water baby had a blast at his friend's birthday party, complete with an inflatable pool!

More Hello Baby Boy Layouts

I wanted to share the last few layouts that I created with Echo Park's Hello Baby Boy.  These little pictures of Nathan are the cutest and I love re-living these memories!  I created this first layout for Scrap or Stash's cartoon inspired challenge.  I used ABC paper, a yellow title, and was inspired by the sketch.

I was inspired to create this clever as a fox layout for Creative Embellishments' September challenge.  I also used a fox die cut with little circle elements on it.

And my final layout is for SCT's Challenge Day 3.  I was inspired by the colors (navy, turquoise, yellow, and orange) and little stars!

Bay Time

We had a great time at the Chesapeake Bay this year.  Nathan enjoyed Nana and Grandpa Butch's new swim spa, and showed off his swimming skills.

Nathan eagerly picked crabs and consumed tons of crab meat -- look at him go with this hammer!

We even set a crab trap ourselves, and caught one!

Another highlight was going out in the boat.

Nathan even got to drive!  (Look at that concentration!)

Fishing wasn't as successful, but Nathan was nonetheless proud of our little catch!

Statue of Liberty

We took a stop in New York on our way from Thomas Land to the Chesapeake Bay.  We have never been to Liberty Island, so we took the ferry (which Nathan thought was really cool).  I couldn't resist taking this picture!

We went up to the pedestal where we had great views of New York City.  I love the shadow of the Statue of Liberty in this picture!

This is our Lady Liberty selfie!

Look at these cuties!

Thomas Land!

This week we spent some time on the East Coast.  Our trip started off in the Boston area, where we visited Thomas Land!  It is an adorable little theme park with all sorts of Thomas-themed rides.

Nathan was able to meet, greet, and fist bump Sir. Topham Hatt at Tidmouth Sheds.

He fought a fire by spraying water at a "burning" building while atop of Fire Fighting Flynn!  Nathan took his "job" very seriously!

Nathan has been talking about wanting to go on a roller coaster for a while.  This was his first chance, and he LOVED it!  We went on the Troublesome Trucks roller coaster ride three times!

We enjoyed a variety of tame and not so tame rides.

And we were even able to take a train ride around the whole park, courtesy of none other than Thomas himself!

Just look at this happy boy!

We ended the day fishing for minnows.  We had a blast!

August Layouts

I love making baby boy layouts, and this line is just the cutest.  My first layout is for CSI's August Cold Case.  I used leftover numbers for part of the tile and cut apart cards for a number of the elements on this page.

I had to scrap this darling picture of Nathan at the salon for the first time.  I added a little tree element to this page for Lasting Memories' challenge 457.

Finally, I was inspired by More Than Words' layout sketch.  Just looking at my little boy makes me happy!

First Day of Pre-Kindergarten!

Nathan started pre-k this week!

He is now in Ms. Lauren's pre-kindergarten class at La Luz Early Childhood, and he loves that the classroom is space themed!

His school had two in service days before the start of the school year, so Jesse took one of those days off with Nathan and they went to the Natural History Museum where they saw a new exhibit -- a moving growling T-Rex replica!

On my day with Nathan, we went to the zoo, where we saw the new penguin exhibit in addition to exploring virtually the entire zoo!  Nathan is growing up fast and sure is a bundle of energy!
