Valentines Pie

Jesse loves pie. Unfortunately, he married someone who is not very good at baking (me). I cringe to think that the last pie I made him was for his 21st birthday (almost nine years ago!) I decided to remedy this problem on Valentines Day and baked him a strawberry rhubarb pie from scratch (by the way, do you realize how difficult it is to find rhubarb?)

It turned out well and Jesse couldn't wait to have his first taste!

All about us

I finally got all of the embellishments I needed to complete my layouts of our engagment! I love how all of the Prima bling makes these pages look so special.

I also completed a layout about me. I realized that I have never done that before and it was challenging to come up with a concept but I finally decided to talk about my personality and background. The lettering was tendious because I had this grand plan of stamping it all with white ink (which I did and it took a long time) but there wasn't enough contrast and the journaling was difficult to read so I outlined each letter with a Martha Stewart pen that coordinated with the core'dinations paper behind it. Enjoy!

So we commissioned a painting . . .

. . . from my talented baby sister Rachel Ariyavatkul (remember that name -- she'll be famous one day!) She's not a painter per se (she is in art school for graphic design) but she does know her way around a paint brush! Here is the piece of art that now hangs in our bedroom:
