But It's Cold Outside

Brrr, we are dealing with the last of three storms that have been coming through NM and it's cold outside! In keeping with the wintery weather, I have continued my Christmas scrapping montage by completing a couple Christmas 2008 layouts. Here they are for your viewing pleasure:

But enough with Christmas already (it is almost the end of January!) I will finally change the blog background and not post any more Christmas layouts or pictures (well, I'll try not to!)

New Mexico Rock Climbing

Matt and Merida visited us for a couple days just before Christmas. They somehow convinced Krystle it would be all right if we went out for some sport climbing, so we did. A friend who has climbed extensively in our area gave us guidance, and we headed to the Socorro Box. The site is in the rugged and beautiful flat-lands of North-Central New Mexico.

Matt generally climbed first, with Merida catching. Any walls that I could consider posed little difficulty for either of them.

Allowing for my lack of experience and sedentary lifestyle physique, I didn't do too badly and had a lot of fun.

You get to be intimately familiar with your climbing partner's backside.

Despite an arm injury, Merida put in some nice climbs as well.

And It's Christmas Once More

I know, I know, Christmas is over. But I could not help prolonging the festivities in my house (we just took down our tree this past weekend) by pouring over pictures of Christmases past and scrapping them.

Apparently I missed a lot of Christmases. These pictures are from 2002 (the first Christmas I celebrated with Jessee -- awww). The layout isn't in my typical color scheme, but I got these papers in a scrapbook.com prize pack and decided, why not?

This layout is from 2003 -- the first year we were married (awww again). The non-traditional Christmas colors continue.

Here's 2004.

2005 (if you love the top center card, tell Nicole!)

And 2007 (I previously scrapped 2006). Chloe is featured quite prominently here, for obvious reasons. So cute!

Not only did she love her presents, but she loved Jesse's present -- a huge remote control car! She was also quite scared of the thing poor girl, but she couldn't help herself!

Pictures of the family (all the papers for this year were also part of my prize pack, and the flowers I got free from Your Scrapbook Stash).

Finally, here are some hilarious pictures from Jesse's dad's side of the family (notice I am the only one really smiling in the left picture and the right two pictures depict father and son in the same basic pose on the same couch).

Even after all of this, I still have last Christmas and this Christmas to scrap. More layouts coming soon!

Oh What Fun . . .

This year, we got to take off and see family from Christmas until the end of the New Year weekend. It was good to see everybody (especially Chloe -- she is so big now!)

We also had a ton of fun with Jesse's side of the family, but unfortunately I don't think anyone took pictures to document it. =(
