Toddler Bed!

Transitioning Nathan to a toddler bed is one of those milestones we were not exactly looking forward to, since we were worried how his ability to easily escape would negatively impact his sleep.  But Nathan started showing signs that he was close to the point where he would climb out of his crib, so we didn't want to risk him falling (let's be honest, he gets his grace from me!)  So we bit the bullet, and he is so excited about his big boy bed!  Although he did a lot of getting in and out of the bed the first day he slept in it, he actually stayed in bed when we put him down the rest of the week!  So far, the transition has been a success.

Other "big boy" reports: his ability to draw a rocket(ish) shape (note his shirt that Jesse got him),

his ability to interact with more of the exhibits at our hands on museum,

and his impressive (and hilarious) first taste of blue cheese!  He is actually a bit of a fan of both blue cheese and brie now.  How sophisticated of him!

Creative Embellishments Design Team

I am happy to announce that I am now designing for Creative Embellishments! You can check out the design team announcement on their blog. Creative Embellishments makes amazing chipboard pieces and I can't wait to show you what I am creating with them.

In the meantime, in addition to working on my design team projects, I made this clean and simple layout of Nathan at 3 months:

Zoo Party

My firm had its yearly zoo party last weekend and Nathan was so excited to go to the zoo!  He has been talking about the animals he saw nonstop this whole week.

My favorite moment was when this giraffe came over to say hi to Nathan.

These zebras are always eating!

And these hippos are so cool!

June Already

I can't believe it's June already!  It is definitely starting to get hot, and we have been spending more time outside.  Last weekend, we enjoyed our church's Memorial Day picnic at Cabazon Park, where Nathan explored the playground and played with his friends from church.

We also spent time at another "new" park that is not too far from us.

Nathan has been playing with Jesse's "shoccar baw," and Jesse captured Nathan's pretty impressive skills!  Manchester United, here we come!

Nathan also amazed us this week by singing his ABCs all by himself!  He has the whole alphabet down, and although he sings it "L, O, P" he does know M and N!
