Veronica Mars Layouts

I have a couple more layouts to show you of our trip to the Veronica Mars premiere and after-party.  This first layout was inspired by Sketches in Thyme's sketch 141, 

and I based this second layout on Sketches In Thyme's sketch 142!

Happy Early Anniversary!

Jesse and I celebrated our twelfth wedding anniversary this past weekend.  Yes, we are a couple months early, but we figured that we wouldn't be able to get away for a little trip with a newborn on our hands!  We took an overnight trip to the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa.  Friday night we celebrated with a nice dinner at the Corn Maiden (highly recommended).   

The next day, I was treated to a pregnancy massage while Jesse went to the driving range.  Before lunch, we took a long walk around their trails and took pictures by the Rio Grande, which had quite a lot of water in it.

Introducing Finley

No, our baby didn't come yet, and no, we didn't change his name to Finley.  Finley is Jesse's new car that I finally snapped a picture of after Jesse cleaned it this past weekend.  It is a 2014 Mazda3 hatchback that Jesse got in December.  The new car has been fun to drive so far, and has cool features like blind spot detection, a back up camera, and bi-xenon headlights.

In purchasing Finley, we did have to say goodbye to the faithful (and not that old) Kierkegaard, who has been and will be missed!

Eva Projects

I have been using a lot of my older Basic Grey stash lately.  I pulled out the Eva collection for these layouts because I thought they would look great with the pictures from the Veronica Mars Movie Premiere that Rachel and I attended almost exactly a year ago.  I based this first red carpet layout on C'est Magnifique's March challenge.  

This second layout is inspired by Blue Fern Studio's March sketch, and I used their beaded strings chipboard pieces.

Baby Bump Progression

My pregnancy started off with a baby bump.  Now my belly is just huge!  Here is my "bump" from months four through nine.  It has been quite the transformation from month 4, 

to month 5, 

6, 

7, 

8, 

and now (9 months)!

Apparently it CAN snow in Albuquerque

We have experienced snow in Albuquerque before.  Each year, there is usually a couple overnight dustings that melt by noon, and a few times over the past seven winters, there has been an accumulation of maybe a couple inches.  This weekend, we finally got real snow.  Snow that made the roads slick and driving dangerous.  Snow that didn't melt during the day and accumulated over six inches in our area!  Nothing compared to what most of the rest of the country has been getting, but tons for Albuquerque.  Needless to say, much of Albuquerque closed down, our birthing center tour was cancelled, and we stayed home working on the long list of to-dos before Nathan arrives!

Of course, in true Albuquerque fashion, about 30 hours after these pictures were taken, it was 60 degrees and sunny and almost all of the snow had melted!
