A Cherry on Top

This month I am guest designing for A Cherry on Top!  I got to use My Mind's Eye's Yes Please, and I thought this line was perfect for these adorable newborn baby pictures.  I have guest designer challenges up on the board - come play along!

Nathan Goes to the Fair

Our baby is a year and a half today!  *bawl!*  He is getting so big.  We recently took Nathan to the fair for the first time, ate some fair food and saw animals, including kangaroos, cows, and sheep.

Nathan even touched a horse, and he was so sweet and gentle about it.  We also saw airplanes flying overhead, which is one of Nathan's new favorite things to see.  It ended up being a good morning!

Newborn Baby Nathan Layouts!

It is so exciting and fun to start working on newborn baby Nathan layouts!  I am loving the sweet Hello Baby collection from Simple Stories, and these layouts are just the first couple that I plan on making with that line.  My first layout is full of cute baby pictures from the hospital and baby footprints, and I was inspired by Sketches in Thyme sketch 219.   

This layout was inspired by the soft colors and tranquil feel of Blue Fern Studios' mood board, and I used their sweet "newborn" chipboard for my title.

For Nathan's newborn photo shoot I have been working with Simple Stories' The Story of Us collection.  I love the color combination and all of the hearts.  This first layout is based on the September 1st sketch from Stuck?!

And this second layout is based on Stuck?! sketches' September 15th sketch.

My final layout this month is based on Creative Sketches' Sketch 298.  I had a lot of fun making the chalkboard title!

Triathlon Cheerleader

Jesse did another triathlon last weekend and Nathan and I waited for him at the end.  Just look at these two cuties together!

More home improvement

We recently added a glass door and transom window in the archway between our front room and the main living area, both to keep Nathan out of the front room and to create a more quiet space in the front room.  We like it so far!

Baby Giggles

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately!  Here are a couple really cute videos of Nathan.  The first is a video of him loving a birthday card I got,

Hamburger Reunion

We were able to see the Hamburgers a couple times this month and it was really fun to connect with them again.  Unfortunately we forgot to take pictures of any of the adults but we captured some of the Nathan's playtime with Wesley and Lucas (Jack was asleep)!  

Last Pre-Nathan Birth Layouts

I know that it is August, but I just finished a number of Christmas layouts from Christmas 2014. This first one includes elements that were inspired by Creative Embellishments' mood board: the circular swoops for the roller coaster and the boughs. 

This second layout is for Stuck?! sketches' August 1 sketch.

And this layout is based on a Stuck?! sketch too -- the August 15 sketch!

My final Christmas 2014 layout is based on the scrappy friends sketch and I also used border strips!

Nathan's First Day of "School"

I can't believe it -- Nathan started "school" (day care) today!  He is now going to day care twice a week and will be at home the rest of the week.  Doesn't he look like the cutest little guy with his backpack?!?  Despite a tearful goodbye, Nathan had an amazing first day, having lots of fun and even napping well!  What a big boy.

When You're Happy & You Know It

Nathan is a happy little guy (the vast majority of the time anyway!) I love seeing him smile and hearing his sweet baby laugh.

He likes the song "If You're Happy & You Know It," and has been clapping along for quite some time.  Just this past week, he has been doing the "stomp your feet" part, with his own adorable signature style.  This is seriously too cute to miss out on:
