I love the pretty font on this Happy Thanksgiving Day title -- it nicely balances out the cutesy elements on this page. I used a matte black ink on the title piece to make it pop on the page.

Outside, Outside, Outside Everybody Outside!
It has been alternatively hot and stormy out here in the high desert, but during one of the sunny weekends, we spent a fair bit of time outside. Nathan wanted to "help dad" with yard work, and actually was a little helpful!
They definitely played outside too! Nathan kicked the soccer ball pretty well, despite not playing very often (check out the video below). We are going to have to sign him up for soccer soon!

Family Time Layout
I love the cool yet fall feel of this layout and the adorable critter embellishments. The finishing touch is Creative Embellishments' Family Time title piece, which I lightly inked with iridescent beige ink.

Back to Normal
This past week was the first week in months that it was just the three of us at home all week going through our normal routine. As much fun as we have had recently, it was nice to have a relaxing week at home. We got to play,
got hair cuts (this cute mohawk picture is mid-haircut),

Family Layout
I used Creative Embellishments' Family Banners for these adorable family pictures. Their Washi Tape Clusters were the perfect accent to Fancy Pants' True Friend papers and embellishments, and I used chalk ink on each of them.

Sesame Place
While we were out east, we took a detour on the way home to spend a day at Sesame Place. I honestly didn't know this place existed until recently, but now I know how to get to Sesame Street!
It is an incredibly adorable theme park, perfectly suited to entertain and delight a toddler. Nathan proved to be far more adventurous and brave than I expected, going on what I would consider bigger kid rides and loving it!
Probably his favorite part of the day was meeting the Sesame Street "cac-ta-rurs" (as Nathan adorably pronounces it). He saw various characters throughout the park, and we booked a character lunch as well so he got to meet a bunch of his favorites without waiting in line.
He was a huge fan of the parade as well!
The park also has a fun water park portion, and our water baby had a blast. I'm so glad we went!

Bay Seasoning
We just got back from our 4th of July trip to the bay. Nathan enjoyed his first fireworks show, and had a ton of fun playing with his Nana, Grandpa Butch, and Tim.
Nathan enjoyed the expected activities -- bubble blowing, stone skipping, boating, and playing with boats -- as well as the unexpected activities -- being the official fly swatter (which he is surprisingly good at) -- he is such a hoot! We also fit in a quick trip to see Aunt Judy, Uncle JP, and James. It was a good family trip!

Grandma and Grandpa Bock's Trip
My mom and Jeff joined us at the end of June. We went to Santa Fe (of course!) for a successful shopping trip and a delicious lunch at the Shed.
We kept cool with some delicious Hawaiian style shave ice at Bahama Bucks (Chloe got super-sour flavors -- look at that face!)
We also continued our escape room roll by beating the Submarine room at Escape the Room. Nathan was not willing to participate in this celebratory group photo, but to be fair to him, his only contribution to our escape was his willingness to stay quiet and watch a show on Jesse's phone while the rest of us found clues.
We also went to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History, where we saw the permanent dinosaur collections and bug room, the traveling da Vinci exhibit, and I took Nathan to a planetarium show for the first time.
We also spent a lot of time playing games and just spending time together.
