Matthew and Merida Visit

We had a lovely visit from Mitt/Mer last weekend. Luckily we had good weather and spent a lot of time outdoors.  

We watched Nathan play soccer and enjoyed the sunshine.

We had delicious food at Church Street Cafe and Farm & Table.

And the three of them tired themselves out running around and playing ball.  We enjoyed having them here!

More Than Words Layouts

I was so excited to use Cocoa Vanilla's More Than Words line -- this collection is so soft and beautiful, making it perfect for this Mother's Day layout. I was inspired by Scrap Our Stash's October Golden Globe Challenge to create this cutesy kid layout, and I used pearl embellishments and perfect pearls for my bling.

I was also inspired by Scrap Our Stash's Blend a Sketch Challenge. My layout is primarily based on the sketch on the left, and I took the butterfly element from the sketch on the right and used diagonal striped paper behind my photos.

I used my More Than Words scraps to create this beautiful card.

Balloon Fiesta 2018!

Happy balloon fiesta! It's that time of year again. We really lucked out this year and had a huge number of balloons land in the park right before Nathan's soccer game last weekend.  

We went to the balloon fiesta park for the special shapes glow this weekend and Nathan loved seeing them get blown up! 

He wore his R2D2 hoodie, so I couldn't resist getting pictures of him and Star Wars themed balloons!

As we were leaving, we popped into a tent to get this cute family picture.

The night time glow is so cool!

October Layouts

The first layout I want to share with you is page for Creative Embellishments. I wanted to use hexagons as my main design element for this playground page, so I used both the Hexagons and Hot Hexagons.  I added a title from the Celebrate Word Set, and used chalk ink, Stickles, and Liquid Pearls on the chipboard pieces.

This second layout I created for Lasting Memories' Challenge 416. I am so thankful for my little boy, and we had so much fun celebrating his first birthday!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Nathan's school took at field trip to a pumpkin patch.  He really enjoyed the corn kernel pit,

climbing,

and duck races!

Nathan and his little buddies are so darn cute!

CE October Challenge

For this month's Creative Embellishments challenge, I was inspired to create this Halloween layout and I used two adorable Nathan pictures for the twist.  My title is from the Happy Halloween Word Set, and I added vines from the Pumpkin Vine Flourish set to the adorable pumpkin Doodle Pops.  I used green Spritz ink and finished off the pieces with glossy accents.
